The no-money man.

guardian.co.uk writes, "Jon Henley spends the day in Bath with Mark Boyle, who last year decided to stop spending money … on anything … at all … ever. And guess what? He's doing rather well for himself."

  1. Money-Money-Money! Its like ABBA's song... It's a rich man's world! :) I wish I could not spend money...better yet, I wish everything did not cost AS MUCH money. Then I think I would be doing rather well for myself as well. :)

  2. Hey, Brooke. I hear you! When he talked about how he had to shift his concept of time - since everything takes more time in his no-money world - it made me think about the freedom our modern conveniences bring. But he's also talking about freedom...maybe the freedom to not have to do so much? The freedom to feel accomplished or fulfilled by making a fire and cooking some soup? It makes me stop and think about how (and at what pace) I spend my time. But I'll keep my money, thank you very much!

  3. Fascinating. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be willing to change my life that drastically, but it does make me think about how I spend my money. Maybe i could start with some small changes.
